Sunflowers...

I love sunflowers.  I take many many photos of them when I come across a field in bloom, this past summer I was in France in July and got to see miles and miles of them.  I have started a collage series and also sell prints of my photos of them as well.

My studio...

I have been a studio artist at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading since September 2010.  I still marvel at what an amazing place it is, and love being part of this vibrant art community so much.

I am studio 304 on the 3rd floor...right off the main elevator, come see me!

My space (on a tidy day:)

A summer camp class I taught, where we did "earth from above" watercolor mixed media collages.

In this class, we made hex signs out of fabric.

My feet and the cool earth collages...

Pagoda Art

I can see Reading's Pagoda lighting the night sky from my driveway, and have done a few collages of it.  I want to do more!

Beach House Art

A friend kindly lent us her beach house, and I did these three pieces as a thank you for the master bedroom.

Holiday Art...

I love to do holiday art!

Commissions I have done...

I love to do commissions.  This one was for the bedroom of a little girl named Jessica, these were things in the border of her room that I turned into a watercolor and stamp collage, using all of the colors in her sweet room.
This was for a friend's birthday who was born near Christmas, I can do sweet small affordable paintings for birthday or holidays.
This was a commission done for the Berks Children Classical Chorus.  A long time employee named Susie was retiring and they asked me to do this piece for her...everything in here was based on things that she loves.
Another commission for a little girl's room; words from a book her mother read to her time and time again; stamps that reminded me of things that her mother told me about their lives.
This was a commission that for a graduate of Lincoln University who came here from Africa, without her son or husband, to get educated in the USA, hence the maps of both places.  It had her name and dates on it when I was done.
This is an example of what I can do for a communion or other religious milestone.
I did this chair as a donation to the Reading Symphony Orchestra this year; these chairs will be auctioned off as a fundraiser.

The above is a long narrow collage of flowers and words...and below are smaller ones that I have done many of.  Framed they are about 10x10 inch and I use black shadowbox frames to give them depth.

My art...

This blog is going to serve as my website, and will be more image than words.  This is the first stamp collage watercolor I did in about 2008, after having a dream about being in a gallery and seeing something like this.  I have collected stamps forever and wanted to do art with them...finally, it happened.
